The European Union might “act quickly and firmly” against what it deems “unjustified” travel bans imposed by the US against five European individuals working on fighting online hate and misinformation, an EU official stated.

EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

European leaders including Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the travel bans were placed on individuals who have been central to efforts to introduce legislation regulating US-based technology firms.
